A Note to Seekers of Clearer Eyesight:

When I first started teaching Natural Vision Improvement, I believed it was essential for every person to fully understand subtleties of the Bates Method such as centralizing and the small swing.

But I've come to realize that a shorter program may be more helpful for many people, at least to get started. For example:

  • Persons with very strong glasses often have a higher need for some instant success, to avoid discouragement.
  • Persons with mild vision problems may be able to fully get out of glasses without the subtleties of the longer program.
  • Anyone who wants to find out if they can really improve their vision before committing more time and expense.

I'm very excited about the new "Basics" program. It's upbeat, encouraging, and helps you in various ways to feel how to let go of the strain in your eyes, right away. I still recommend the complete "Reclaim Your Eyesight Naturally" program for a self-starter who likes to dive in deeply right away. And, most people with strong glasses will eventually want the additional help of the complete program. But smile, and be aware if you have a "nearsighted" tendency to always have more stuff on your plate than you find time to do. Consider starting with a smaller bite that you can savor with ease.

Remember, the objective is to stop "trying" to see. Not in a week or a month, but right now. I think the new "Basics" program will help a lot of people make that shift more quickly, and get off on the right foot.

What You Will Learn:

CD#1 - SEEING WITH EASE   (Also refer to the guidebook)
1. How to Use this Program (4:21) To succeed, you must approach this program differently than your normal way of doing things. Improving your eyesight naturally is very much like meditation or yoga; it probably won't work if you treat it as another project in your busy routine.
2. The Easy Way to Clarity (15:13) Most people assume their eyes are lazy, in need of eye exercises to make them work harder. This is backwards. Eyesight is a miracle that functions best with relaxation, ease, and a distinct imagination. This anecdotal track will help you start to "feel" this easier way of seeing.
3. The Amazing Bates Method (5:50) Dr. William H Bates discovered ingenious ways to naturally improve eyesight a hundred years ago. This track will help you get on his wavelength and understand why your eyesight improves as quickly as you rediscover natural ease in seeing.
4. Release Your Stuck Vision (11:14)

Most people are initially unaware they hold strain in their eyes, especially if they have a high prescription. This track helps you discover and let go of visual strain for yourself.

5. Visual Awareness (3:24) Becoming more visually aware of your world helps to reactivate your eyes and bring them more life force. Let visual awareness help you restore relaxed clear eyesight.
6. Movement is Essential (4:13) This track will help you prove to yourself that natural, effortless movement of your eyes, your gaze, your attention, your mind... will always result in a spontaneous burst of clearer vision.
7. Swing Your World (12:10) The Bates technique called "the swing" is very childlike, so of course most adults tend to do it in a way that doesn't help very much. This track helps you discover the ease and joy of "swinging" your vision.

10. Easing Out of Glasses (4:27) Your glasses are keeping the strain intact, according to the Bates Method. You will understand and feel by now why this is true. Here are some ideas for easing out of glasses safely, legally (for driving), and with the help of your optometrist.
11. Other Resources (1:06) Keep it simple, don't be an information junkie - it may thwart your progress if you gridlock your vision with too many vision theories and techniques at once! But here are some next steps to consider when you are ready.

CD#2 - DAILY VISION ACTIVATORS   (Also refer to the guidebook)
1. Suggestions for Daily Practice (4:05) Do what you have time for and what feels enjoyable. Any one or two or more of the tracks will help. Indeed, more time may be better, but the key is to keep recalibrating your vision to be relaxed and vibrant - each day, and through the day.
2. Setting Intention (2:16) An ounce of careful thought about what you want is more valuable than a ton of effort.
3. Eye Chart for Reference (1:14) This eye chart is in alphabetic order! "Testing" the eyes makes many persons anxious, and their sight may get worse from the strain. Use this eye chart to encourage yourself when you see more, and to tease your vision into clarity.
4. Long Swing (7:54) Your whole body supports your vision. This track will help you release your spine, neck, and shoulders, so your vision can easily let go and move. Feel the delightful illusion of "oppositional movement".
5. Eye Chart, Part 2 (1:43) You will be amazed at how quickly your eyes can see and recognize a new row, even if just for a moment at first.
6. Palming (9:24) Dissolving tight eye muscles is unbelievably relaxing throughout your whole being. The words and suggestions to relax will help you let go. It's relaxing like meditation, or maybe even like a vacation!
7. Sketching and Shifting (7:12) This is the opposite of staring. Wake up your curiosity about your visual world and take it into your day. Discover that staring is exhausting, sketching and shifting are relaxing. Even at your computer!
8. Vibrations in Your Eyes (2:36) Pretend at first, until your really can feel and evoke the natural vibrations in your eyes. These "saccadic" vibrations are essential to clear sight, and the habit of staring has stifles them. Let them wake up!
9. Medium Swing, Optional Sunning (4:08) Your vision is responding more and more to the long swing. Gradually learn to evoke as much relaxation with a smaller movement. Try adding "closed eye sunning", another amazingly simple technique to relax and heal your eyes.
10. Short Swing (4:58) Go into this one slowly. It may feel elusive at first. As your vision improves you will be able to "swing" letters on the eyechart, your computer, and everything else you see. As you befriend this technique it becomes a reliable friend to sharpen your vision. It dissolves negative thoughts just as fast, because the mind has to "let go".
11. Into the Day (4:17) Make imagination a key ally. See yourself remembering to breathe, relax your shoulders, sketch and shift, and notice the amazing world our there, all day long.
12. Guided Relaxation (11:50) Become quickly, deeply relaxed with this progressive relaxation track. Just listen and follow. It's fine if you fall asleep. Includes relaxing music in the background. These last two tracks are great to fall asleep with.
13. Affirmations (8:26) Now in this relaxed and receptive state of mind, absorb these affirmations for relaxed clear sight. Even if you sleep through it, you'll find your vision is more relaxed tomorrow. And you feel less stressed. Includes relaxing music in the background.
TOTAL CD#2 (1hr:12min) For best results do at least one vision activator each day to remind your vision of natural relaxed vision habits. Do up to 1/2 hour, or longer for a strong prescription or for faster results. Listen to the final two tracks as you drift off to sleep, or during a break in your daily routine.
